Our Services

Construction Engineering

We provide structural engineering and advising to contractors including load development, advising, and in-place inspections of shoring systems, bracing system design, advising on crane placement relative to basement walls and use of lifts on elevated floors. We love a good challenge and are ready to help you get it safely constructed.

Commercial Building Assessment

When purchasing a commercial building, investors often ask for a walk-through and structural assessment of the observable structure of the building. These reports provide investors with valuable information used in developing renovation and re-use budgets.

Structural Engineering – Industrial

Our work includes cranes, pits, machine foundations, and building modifications to accommodate process requirements.

Structural Engineering – Hangars and Warehouses

We love designing hangars. We have designed small hangars for personal aircraft storage to large hangars used primarily for aircraft maintenance complete with fall arrest systems, foam fire suppression systems, and secure rooms for armament systems. We designed a hangar for the Dreammaker that was unfortunately not built and have even designed a line of hurricane-proof hangars that would allow aircrafts to stay in-place during hurricane events.

Infrastructure Projects

We provide structural engineering in the form of airport improvement projects, airport culvert assessment, analysis, and repair recommendations. We have also provided foundation design for sound walls.

Specialty Designs

We are pleased to offer design of the following specialty products:

  • Fall Arrest

  • Video Walls

  • Light Pole Foundations

  • SCIF Rooms

  • Wood Framing/ Truss Inspections

  • Water Gaps

  • Concrete Repair

  • Elevator Additions

Structural Engineering – Existing Building Modifications

A significant portion of our work involves changes in use, additions, and other modifications to existing buildings. These projects require our engineers to spend time reviewing existing drawings or field measuring existing structure to determine how to economically make changes and additions to the building. Examples of this type of work include analysis and strengthening of roof joists to accommodate new mechanical equipment, design of new openings in existing walls, and strengthening floor framing to meet new loading requirements. Additionally, we address deterioration and storm damage.

 Structural Engineering – Commercial

Our structural engineers are knowledgeable in the design of foundation systems including shallow foundation, rammed aggregate pier supported foundation, frilled pier systems, driven pile systems, and helical pile systems. We are knowledgeable in numerous framing systems including structural steel, concrete, masonry, post-tensioned concrete, prestressed concrete, wood-framing, timber framing, and cold-formed steel framing.

  Structural Engineering- High-End Custom Residences

Your dream home is important to us, and we enjoy the process of providing constructable solutions to very complex buildings. Our designs usually incorporate concrete, masonry, wood-framing, structural steel-framing, concrete, masonry, wood-framing. Structural steel-framing, and timber framing. We have also incorporated ICF and light-gauge steel framing. If your dream is your primary residence, a lake house or mountain retreat, we would love to be a part of your project.

Historic Building Preservation

Historic buildings have often experienced some deterioration that needs to be addressed – foundations, brick, wood-framing and concrete. Often, these buildings are being re-purposed and must be modified to support new loading requirements.

Storm Shelter/Peer Reviews

We have developed an in-depth, rigorous procedure that follows ICC 500 and have used it in the design and peer reviews of several storm shelters. We take this responsibility very seriously and ensure that the storm shelter and its surroundings provide a safe place for all who may need to use them.

Earth Retaining Structures

We design concrete, masonry, and segmental retaining walls for numerous loading conditions: flat and sloped backfill, surcharge loads from nearby structures, and moving loads from vehicles and construction equipment. We also design using geo-fabrics and geo-grid materials which greatly reduce the pressure on the wall faces.

“Our commitment to structural integrity is unwavering; your project's evolution aligns perfectly with our dedication to excellence. Together, we shape the future.”
